Certified Diabetes Care And Education Specialist For Type 2 Diabetes
An IDF “Certificate of Achievement” will be awarded to learners who complete all course modules and pass the final assessment with a score of at least 80%. A ‘Certificate of Participation’ will be awarded to students who score less than 80% in the final assessment after a second attempt.
Leaners who complete all course modules and the final assessment will receive an official IDF Certificate and eleven European CME credits.

You will also need to provide the name and contact number of a supervisor. If you keep a log of this information, you can upload it during the registration process, but it is not a requirement.
Self-employed applicants for initial certification must submit two completed Reference Letters: one from a Certified Diabetes Educator, and one from a healthcare professional who refers patients to the applicant for diabetes education. A copy of this form is available online under the Exams page.
