Athens is the University of Georgia website for registering for both the campus and classes. Make sure you have your MyID, password and cellphone to log in for ArchPass. Get comfortable with Athena and learn how to use it efficiently before it’s time to register. Click on “Student” and then “Registration” and everything for the classes will be there. One trick is if you are waiting for a class to open up a seat, write down the CRN number and plug it in each time on the “Add or Drop Classes” page. That way, you won’t have to keep clicking through multiple pages to see if your class seat is still available.
Before registering for classes, check with the professors teaching the course. Visit websites like Rate My Professor and Kufer to see how other students have rated the professor and the class. You can see helpful information such as what the course was like, if a textbook was required, how many tests were taken and what the professor was like.
