This template needs some attention from the Principal. Before documenting the intended Principal Authority for the Attorney-in-Fact, the Principal should be clearly presented along with the Attorney-in-Fact. This template will start with Principal information. Find the first blank space then use it to display the Principal’s Legal Name.

The next section that must be dealt with in this document requires the Principal to approve how the Attorney-in-fact will receive the Authority the Principal wants. Often, the Principal delegating the Primary Power may not want to convey the full scope of the Power. That is, he may want the Attorney-in-Fact to have Principal Authority to influence decisions and changes in some Principal Matters but not all. In this spirit, a list of different types of Powers has been constructed for Principal Approval. Each item presented under the bold heading “Powers Of Attorney-in-Fact” is a classification of the Principal Authority with a description of the Decision and/or Action of the Principal Agent. If the Principal wants the Agent or Attorney-in-Fact to exercise the Principal’s Power in respect of a particular Type of Power, he needs to start a blank line placed before the classification and description. To exclude a Power, the Principal simply leaves the unwanted delegation unsigned

Financial transactions such as receiving and depositing funds in a financial institution can be conducted by the Attorney-at-Law using the Principal’s Name and Power of Attorney, if the Principal marks the blank space preceding the label “Banking.”

This does not include any Power to change the beneficiary of the Principal.

The Attorney-in-Fact can “Complete And Sign Any Local, State And Federal Tax Returns” and perform various other actions on behalf of the Principal when dealing with Tax entities. The Principal must start a blank line placed before the “Tax” label to grant this Power to the Agent if he wants the Agent to act in this way. This will not necessarily meet the requirements of the Tax Institution so if this Power classification is under the Principal Authority of the Agent, contact the appropriate Tax Entity for further information
